Operation Tiger was a success as it helped drastically for the D-day landings but on the 28 April 1944 they where doing training when one of the ships where under attack. The command had no idea what was going on as they where on different radio frequencies. 749 people died because a German U-Boat sent a torpedo at the ship sinking it. This was covered up for 40 years until the story was released
Operation Tiger was a success because it it trained solders for a battle. If they never trained the death casualty for d-day may of been a lot higher

Operation Tiger was a failure because so many people died and if they didn't practice they could have still lost the same amount of men At the D-Day landings so it was just a waste of money.
